NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell discussed a number of issues on Tuesday that came up during the annual NFL owner’s meeting that took place this week. Among those topics were the league’s intentions regarding the upcoming report into the shady actions of Washington Commanders owner Dan Snyder conducted by Mary Jo White.

This investigation by White dates back over a year ago and seemingly details all of the wrongdoings from Snyder’s tenure as the Commanders’ owner.

As Snyder gets closer to potentially selling the organization, Goodell made it clear that this report will be released whether or not Snyder is the owner in Washington.

“We committed to releasing those findings, we will,” Goodell said via Pro Football Talk on Tuesday. “We made that commitment back last February. We made that commitment. I think we made it in front of Congress, we made it to our clubs. So, we’ll continue with that.

“We’ve been very clear,” Goodell added. “The Commanders were very clear that the findings would be made public. So, we’re going to continue on that course.”

It certainly seems like the release of this report is essential. At the very least, the public will then know exactly the depths of his actions as the owner in Washington.

There was some concern that this report was never going to emerge if Dan Synder became reluctant to sell the Commanders as a bargaining tool to not have this report released.

That doesn’t appear to be the case. ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported on Tuesday that Snyder’s $6 billion asking price in a potential sale of the Commanders’ organization has been met.

Snyder could still opt to be difficult and not sell the franchise. Regardless, it seems clear that Mary Jo White’s report will come out whether or not Snyder is still an NFL owner.
