It’s no secret that it took Aaron Rodgers and some of the Green Bay Packers’ rookie receivers some time to get adjusted to one another.

While they were able to finally enjoy some late-season success and seemingly get on the same page, it wasn’t because of anything that happened off the field. First-year receiver Romeo Doubs was asked during an appearance on Maggie and Perloff, presented by CBS Sports, about his transgressions with Rodgers off the field.

“I didn’t get a chance to hang out with him,” Doubs said via Maggie and Perloff on Twitter. “Not one time. I mean, as far as being around 12…it’s always been football, in the building, on the practice field.”

Doubs went on to say that there was never a time when he hung out with the whole team, including Rodgers but corrected himself to say that they did have a team get-together for Halloween.

Rodgers is known to have cultivated relationships with veteran receivers in the past, but for one reason or another, it didn’t happen that way with some of Green Bay’s rookie receivers in 2022.

Regardless of his relationship with Rodgers off the field, Doubs, a first-year player out of Nevada, was still able to contribute down the stretch. He finished his rookie season with 42 receptions for 425 yards with three receiving touchdowns in 13 games.

Though, it is worth noting that Rodgers is 17 years older than Doubs.
