The Denver Broncos have the worst scoring offense in the entire NFL this season, averaging just 14.3 points per game. The struggles have been at least partially due to quarterback Russell Wilson, who is having the worst year of his career so far. However, that doesn’t mean head coach Nathaniel Hackett is ready to make a change at quarterback.

During his press conference on Wednesday afternoon, Hackett was asked if he would consider replacing Russell Wilson at quarterback, and he quickly made it known that he would not.

The question to Hackett was very blunt: “Are there any scenarios where you would make a change at quarterback if you thought it would give your team a better chance to win?”

Hackett then gave an equally blunt, but very short response: “Right now, no.”

The press conference quickly moved on with another reporter asking a question about the upcoming game against the Baltimore Ravens before Hackett could expound or the reporter could ask a follow-up question.

Wilson has been so bad this year that he’s been outpaced by multiple quarterbacks who have barely played – Joe Flacco and Carson Wentz. He also ranked No. 33 among all quarterbacks in Week 12 even though there are only 32 teams in the league.

While Hackett might not be willing to make a quarterback change, it’s pretty clear that Russell Wilson isn’t getting it done in Denver.
