Last month, millions more files related to Jeffrey Epstein were unveiled to the public, and New York Giants quarterback Russell Wilson found his name in the files, though it was for completely innocent reasons.
On Monday, NFL aggregator account MLFootball shared a portion of the Epstein files that showed the Pro Bowl quarterback attempting to purchase a private plane. However, the deal was arranged with Larry Visoski, a longtime pilot for Jeffrey Epstein.
The recently released files included an email correspondence from 2019 in which it was revealed that Wilson was concerned that purchasing the plane would impact his contract negotiations with the Seattle Seahawks.
While this technically does mean that Wilson’s name was mentioned in the Epstein files, it was not for any nefarious purposes.
Wilson quickly broke his silence on the matter as he rather firmly explained that he had no connection to Epstein and never even ended up purchasing the plane.
“NOPE!!! ABSOLUTELY NOT! Not TODAY satan!” Wilson wrote in a post on X.
“Some Random plane broker tried to sell me a plane. I had no idea whose plane and never bought the plane. Never talked nor Never met the man. Thank God!!!”
As a result of Wilson’s clarification, MLFootball ultimately deleted its post from social media.
