Quarterback Russell Wilson was a full participant in practice with the Denver Broncos this week after clearing concussion protocols.

Broncos Country, let’s ride!” has been the QB’s catchphrase since he arrived in Denver via a Broncos trade with his former team, the Seattle Seahawks. The trade has probably gone differently than what the Broncos and Wilson had envisioned. And on Thursday, he noticeably scrapped his newfound phrase this week during his media availability after returning to practice.

“Russell Wilson ended his press conference today with a simple ‘Go Broncos,'” tweeted Broncos beat reporter Zac Stevens. He had always signed off with, “Broncos Country, let’s ride!” previous to this week.

While it’s unknown why Wilson made the change—or even if it was a mistake on his part—that didn’t stop NFL fans from reacting to the quarterback’s major change.

“Russell Wilson ends his presser by saying, ‘Go Broncos.’ Perhaps a win on Christmas will get us another, ‘Let’s Ride,'” said one fan.

“Russell Wilson not making the Pro Bowl whilst Geno Smith does is the funniest thing I’ve seen all year,” wrote Nels Hylton.

“I think Russell Wilson is broken,” another fan wrote.

“The bad omen is gone,” wrote another fan.

“It’s Joever,” joked one fan with an attached image of a forlorn President Joe Biden.

The Broncos currently sit at 4-10, good for last in the AFC West. They are next in action on Christmas when they travel to California to face the Los Angeles Rams.
