It’s no secret at all that Denver Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson is coming off what was by far the worst season of his career. But when it comes to what he’s accomplished throughout his career, one new teammate seems to think he’s among the best to ever play the game.

Earlier this month, former San Francisco 49ers offensive tackle Mike McGlinchey signed a deal to join the Denver Broncos and play alongside Russell Wilson. And during an interview with Mike Klis of Denver’s KUSA this week, he revealed a boldly optimistic view of Wilson’s career, declaring that he’s a future Hall of Famer.

“I’m very familiar with Russ, playing against him twice a year for four years,’’ McGlinchey told Klis. “He’s broken my heart numerous times. I know his game, I know what he’s capable of.

“He’s a Hall of Famer. And he’s capable of doing great things and winning a lot of games in this league like he did for a decade in Seattle. And I think coach Payton and the situation we’re going into is going to elevate his game even more.”

It’s a pretty bold claim from McGlinchey, but it’s safe to say the NFL world isn’t really buying it.

Wilson could end up in the Hall of Fame one day depending on how the rest of his career plays out, but making this claim after the season he had last year is nothing short of insane.
