It’s no secret to anybody who has watched the Denver Broncos this season that it has been the worst season of Russell Wilson’s career. But one stat really puts the veteran quarterback’s struggles into perspective.
As Brad Spielberger of Pro Football Focus points out, not only is this the worst season by far for Russell Wilson according to the Pro Football Focus season grade, but it also ranks among the worst quarterbacks in the entire NFL so far this season.

Wilson’s play hasn’t just hurt him, it’s hurt his team, as well. So far this season, the Denver Broncos have without a doubt the worst scoring offense in the entire NFL, averaging just 15.5 points per game this year – pretty far behind the Houston Texans, who are next-to-last with 16.9 points per game.
Wilson has been so bad this season that Denver Broncos head coach Nathaniel Hackett, who was fired from the team on Monday afternoon, even had to answer questions about whether or not he would consider benching Wilson and making a change at starting quarterback.
This sure isn’t the season anybody expected Russell Wilson to have in Denver.
