The Denver Broncos have been very bad this season after trading for former Seattle Seahawks star quarterback Russell Wilson. While the defense has been very solid, the team’s offense has been among the worst in the NFL, ranking dead last in terms of scoring offense with just 14.7 points per game and Wilson is having the worst season of his career by far. And one shocking stat puts Wilson’s struggles into hilarious perspective.

As NFL analyst Sam Monson of Pro Football Focus points out, Russell Wilson‘s production has been outpaced by some quarterbacks who have barely played this year. This includes veteran quarterback Joe Flacco, and it also includes Carson Wentz.

“Carson Wentz has 2 more passing TDs than Russell Wilson this season and he hasn’t played since Week 6 and has been benched,” Monson said on Twitter. “Also, for those keeping track, Wilson still has comfortably more bathrooms in his house than TDs this season.”

It’s a shocking statistic, given Wilson’s dominance before coming to Denver, and the NFL world had plenty to say about it on Twitter.

Things have gotten so bad in Denver that Wilson’s own teammates appear to be criticizing him on the sideline, which certainly isn’t ideal for the team.
