After having a procedure done last week, Denver Broncos head coach Nathaniel Hackett says quarterback Russell Wilson will be able to play Sunday against the LA Chargers.

“He should be ready to play,” Hackett said of his Wilson, according to the Denver Post.

Hackett did reveal that Wilson may be playing with pain, however, even though he will have had almost two weeks to recover.

“I’ve learned in this game that everybody always has something that’s going on,” Hackett said. “It’s a very, very physical game as we see week in and week out. Russell is a very tough human being. He’s not going to miss anything. He wants to be out there competing for this team.

“So we’ll just make sure we take care of him, do the right thing, and get him to as close to 100% as we can.”

The Broncos are coming off a Thursday night 12-9 loss to the Indianapolis Colts, which once again saw their offense struggle.

Wilson threw for 274 yards, no touchdowns, and two interceptions, but his injury to his right shoulder may explain why the former Super Bowl-winning quarterback has been struggling with his new team.

But now that this procedure has been done to Wilson’s right shoulder, maybe Bronco fans will see the Russell Wilson they expected to see.
