Not since the Immaculate Reception have we seen such a wild sequence of deflections that ultimately led to a touchdown. After Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson had his pass deflected by lineman Armon Watts, Wilson attempted to bat the ball down. “Attempt” is being generous because, well see for yourself.

Maybe Wilson was trying to bat the ball down. Maybe Wilson thought if he could hit the ball hard enough he could connect with an open Jacob Hollister (you can see Hollister open on the behind the QB replay angle). Whatever the reason, the plan failed and Anthony Harris had some heads-up thinking to run up, get the interception, and take it to the end zone for the touchdown.

Next time, Wilson might try to catch his own pass like Brett Favre did.
