The San Francisco 49ers are doing their best to keep their heads above water despite having key players pop up on the injury report. Somehow, the 49ers are doing just that, as Sunday night’s win over the Atlanta Falcons improved the team to 5-2 on the year.
Now, the 49ers are going to have to pull yet another rabbit out of a hat to replace key production, as they’ll be losing another player for at the very least a week or two with a hamstring injury, according to one prominent league insider.
“49ers have lost another defensive end to injury: Bryce Huff injured his hamstring near the end of Sunday night’s win over Atlanta and HC Kyle Shanahan told reporters, ‘Hopefully it won’t be longer than two weeks.’ 49ers already were without DEs Nick Bosa and Tarron Jackson,’ reported Adam Schefter of ESPN on Monday on Twitter.
Fans reacted to the news on social media.
“It’s amazing and impressive to me how these 9ers continue to compete and win games with all these key injuries,” one fan wrote on Twitter.
“Gotta give it to Shanny and Saleh. They still compete even with all this crap,” one fan added.
“49ers just keep winning! They should really look into their conditioning and doctors something is definetely wrong there!”another fan added.
It’ll be interesting to see if the Niners can gut out more shorthanded wins.
