Jason Myers has been a consistent, clutch player for the Seattle Seahawks since 2019.
Wednesday, the Seahawks took care of their Pro Bowl placekicker with a huge contract extension.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Seattle gave Myers a four-year, $21.1 million deal that includes additional incentives.
Seattle Seahawks gave a new four-year, $21.1 million deal worth up to $22.6 million with incentives to kicker Jason Myers, whose contract was set to expire in March, per source. Myers tied to the team through the 2026 season.

That makes Myers the second-highest paid kicker in the NFL, behind only Baltimore Ravens star Justin Tucker.
Myers’ contract had been set to expire in March.
Let’s face it, many teams take their placekicker for granted, until something bad happens (see Brett Maher’s disastrous game with the Dallas Cowboys Monday night.) So, it’s nice to see a team take care of business in this regard.
Myers has been up and down the last few years. He was perfect on 24 field goal attempts in 2020, not so perfect (17-of-23) in 2021, and back to being great this season. He hit 34-of-37 attempts and led the NFL in scoring with 143 points. He capped that total off with a game-winning field goal in overtime in Week 18 that helped clinch a playoff spot for the Seahawks.

Myers signed the contract Wednesday with his wife and two young children along for the special occasion.
“We wanted to stay here the whole time,” Myers said (via Seahawks.com). “We had no plans of leaving and we love this organization, the coaching staff, players, everything. I’m so excited to be able to stay for four more years at least, hopefully more.”
