The Seattle Seahawks had quite a bit on the line on Sunday against the Los Angeles Rams, trying to keep their playoff hopes alive with a win. It wasn’t a pretty performance, but Seattle was able to make some big plays when it mattered most to come away with a much-needed victory.
Seattle had the chance to win the game in regulation, but long-time kicker Jason Myers missed a 46-yard field goal off the right upright as time expired to send the game to overtime.

After a quick three-and-out on their first overtime possession, Seahawks safety Quandre Diggs came away with a huge interception of Rams quarterback Baker Mayfield to save the game and keep their playoff chances alive.
The Seahawks and quarterback Geno Smith then marched down the field and gave Myers another chance to win the game in overtime. He did not disappoint this time. Myers nailed a 32-yard field goal to keep Seattle’s playoff hopes alive.

This win by Seattle shook up a ton of things for the two teams playing on Sunday Night Football, eliminating the Detroit Lions from playoff contention and needing Detroit to beat the Green Bay Packers in order to make the postseason.
Seahawks fans took to social media following the game to root on the Lions in the matchup.
“Crazy, I need both of the teams I played for to win today… Seahawks got the first one now I need the Lions to do the same! Lets goooo!!!” tweeted former NFL player Cliff Avril.
