Last year, the Los Angeles Rams had one of the top teams in the NFL all season and it ultimately culminated in a Super Bowl victory over the Cincinnati Bengals. But this year, it’s safe to say that the Rams did not live up to expectations as the team has just a 5-11 record and was eliminated from playoff contention a few weeks ago. And head coach Sean McVay knows it hasn’t been good.

During a press conference this week, Sean McVay got very blunt about his team’s performance this year, calling this season “a professional failure.”

“This year has been, in my opinion, from just what I can control, a professional failure,” McVay said according to Pro Football Talk. “And that’s been humbling, it’s been challenging. It’s revealed some things I wouldn’t have known about myself that you have to be able to deal with and acknowledge accordingly. But if you do it the right way, I do believe you can be stronger. But I think every experience you can learn from, some might be good, some might be bad.”

Unfortunately for the Rams, the team will have to wait until next season to bounce back from this tough year.
