Tampa Bay Buccaneers star Shaquil Barrett is grieving the loss of his 2-year-old daughter Arrayah who drowned two weeks ago.

The heartbroken football star express his grief recently via social media with a video of him with his little girl with the caption:

“I miss you sooo much baby girl. I love you please watch over us 😘😘#TGBTG”

The child’s mother, Jordanna, also wrote under the post “We love you forever and ever babygirl💕 until we meet again my baby!”

“Our world will never be the same,” she added. “Arrayah was the apple of my eye, and my heart will forever be with hers.”

The couple also thanked people for the support received from friends, family, and fans. The couple have three other children.

“Hello, I just wanted to send a heart felt thank you for prayers. Thoughts, Meals, flowers, gifts, and support. For the community out pour for us, for people praying all over the world. I am typing this out because the amount has been astounding and there is just no way to possibly get a thank you to each and everyone one of you. But not a single card, not, prayer, or thought has gone unnoticed. We feel the love from everywhere and that wouldn’t be possible without you all. This has been the hardest couple weeks of our lives. And we couldn’t have done it or start to even begin getting through this without you. Our Arrayah sunshine was and is our world and knowing she has touched so many lives is so heart warming. Thank you. May God bless you, and keep you and let Arrayahs light shine upon you! We love you! Love & Light, The Barrett Family,”

The couple just buried their young daughter last week in a private funeral held in Tampa. Barrett is a two-time pro bowler out of the University of Nebraska who started his career with the Denver Broncos before moving on to Tampa.
