The Cleveland Browns have a new head coach in Todd Monken after firing Kevin Stefanski after a disappointing stretch of seasons. The energy for Monken and his staff has been well-received by the players.
Now, one of those players, second-year quarterback Sheder Sanders, is imploring Cleveland-area media members to embrace some new energy as well and leave the negativity in the past.
“Coach Monken is great, and all the other coaches on the staff is extremely great,” Sanders said to a crew of reporters and media members.. “They’re going to understand and embrace you just as a person, and then they push you each and every day in the meeting room, on the field, in the weight room,” Sanders said. “It’s a new vibe, a new energy.”
“The only thing missing is y’all,” Sanders continued. “I know y’all want us to win, so we need a winning energy here. We can’t have too much negativity going on. We want the players to be the best version of ourselves for y’all.”

Monken still hasn’t named a starting quarterback, but the vibes in the locker room are certainly improved from what they were under the last regime. Now the question is if the “new energy” will translate to on-field success. It’s hard for the media to be critical when football games are being won.
