It’s hard to imagine an NFL draft prospect as polarizing among fans, analysts, and pundits as former Colrado Buffaloes quarterback Shedeur Sanders, who is the son of Hall of Famer and NFL legend Deion Sanders, who doubled as his head coach in his college career.

Many feel that Sanders is too arrogant for his own good, while others believe he lacks the requisite arm strength to succeed in the NFL. However, his supporters believe he is sure to have a lengthy NBL career.

Now, some news is breaking concerning Sanders ahead of the upcoming draft. “Colorado to retire jersey numbers of Travis Hunter, Shedeur Sanders,” reported Pro Football Talk on Monday.

Fans reacted to the news on social media.

“I mean, I guess it makes sense coming from Colorado who’s never been much in 30 years,” one fan wrote on Twitter.

“Retiring Travis makes sense. You retire the Heisman winner’s jersey. Shedeur didn’t do enough,” another fan added.

“These guys should get statues also. Coming to this winless hippie school in the mountains. Putting them back in national relevance with recruits. Putting them on TV more times in 2 years than they were the last 30,” someone else added.

It’s clear how Colorado feels about Sanders’s ability.
