The Pittsburgh Steelers are looking at a one-week season, or as head coach Mike Tomlin referred to it earlier this week, the “AFC North Championship.” The Steelers had a chance to rest their players this week, but didn’t manage to score a single to score a single touchdown and lost to the 3-12 Cleveland Browns.

Now, Pittsburgh will face the Baltimore Ravens in a winner-take-all clash for the division title, and the losers will clean out thier lockers and look to next season. However, if the Steelers lose, they may have to find a new quarterback.

Although Rodgers entered the season talking as if this season would be it for him, he spoke with reporters ahead of this weekend’s game, and he has decided to revisit things after the season concludes for Pittsburgh.

“I’m 42, and I’m on a 1-year deal. You know what the situation is. Whenever the season ends, I’ll be a free agent. That’ll give me a lot of options if I still want to play — Not a lot of options, but … I would think maybe 1 or 2 if I decide I still want to play,” Rodgers said on Wednesday, per ESPN’s Brooke Pryor.

Fans reacted to the news on social media.

“Sign him for one more year. find more weapons for him. draft alot of wrs in the draft,” one Steelers fan wrote on Twitter.

“I say Aaron should end his career in Pittsburgh. It’s been great having him. 1 more year. Let’s go,” another fan added.

“If we win Sunday, and somehow make a little playoff run, I hope he comes back for 1 more. Despite the downs, he’s been fun to have. Shame it went so quick,” someone else added.

It’ll be interesting to see if Rodgers is able to prolong having to make his final decision.
