The Pittsburgh Steelers are still looking for a starting quarterback as the 2025 season gets closer and closer. There’s still a chance the Steelers address their positional needs via the NFL draft, and in fact, that appears closer and closer to becoming a reality.

Not only did the Steelers meet with quarterback prospect Shedeur Sanders last week, but things don’t seem to be trending well with Aaron Rodgers, the quarterback that the Steelers have been most linked to this offseason.

It appears the Steelers are about finished with waiting on Rodgers to decide whether he wants to sign in the Steel City or call it a career and retire.

NFL RUMORS: The #Steelers are reportedly losing PATIENCE with Aaron Rodgers. The #Saints could be a option now with Derek Carr INJURY,” reported an NFL twitter account dedicated to peeling back the curtains on the behind the scenes happenings around the league.

Fans reacted to the news on social media.

“All they have to do is trade Tomlin, Pickens and watt for multiple first round picks and will be competitive and actually win playoff games,” one fan wrote on Twitter.

“I’m not a Steelers or Saints fan. Aaron Rodgers should probably retire. But I have a theory. I think if he is going to sign with them he will after the draft. I think he doesn’t want to step into a Kirk Cousins type situation. Get signed, watch them draft a QB & get benched!” someone else added.

“Saints should sign Rodgers they can win that weak division and make playoffs,” another person added.

It’ll be interesting to see if the Steelers draft a quarterback as Rodgers continues to lollygag.
