Things are getting uglier by the week for the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Steelers brought in four-time MVP winner Aaron Rodgers this offseason, in the hopes that he could help the franchise end its drought of playoff wins.

The season got off to a promising start, but the Steelers have gone 2-5 in their last seven games to find themselves at 6-6 on the year, and on the outside looking in of the current AFC playoff picture.

Pittsburgh’s latest loss came in blowout fashion at home to the Buffalo Bills, and fans have become so disillusioned with the state of things that they chanted for once-beloved head coach Mike Tomlin to be fired.

Tomlin was asked about the chants in his Tuesday press conference and had a rather surprising response, going as far as to say he agrees with the fans and their frustrations.

“In general, I agree with them — from this perspective. Football is our game. We’re in the sport entertainment business. And so, if you root for the Steelers, entertaining them is winning. And so, when you’re not winning, it’s not entertaining.

“And if you’ve been in this business, you understand that. And so, I respect it. I share frustrations. I understand what makes this thing go, and winning is what makes this thing go.”

It’s worth asking if it would be in the best interest of both the Steelers and Tomlin to agree to mutually part ways if this season ends in another flat finish.
