The Pittsburgh Steelers are desperate to end their drought of playoff wins before it reaches a full decade. The Steelers, under head coach Mike Tomlin, have seemed like a franchise desperate to hover around .500, sneak into the first round of the playoffs, and lose to whatever opponent they face.
However, Pittsburgh proved that it means business this season by beating the Indianapolis Colts, who entered the game with the best record in the NFL, on Sunday.
“The #Steelers have a two-game lead in the AFC North. They’ve beat two of the three 7-2 teams in the conference. The Chiefs are on the outside looking in. And they did nothing to improve. Sad!” tweeted Adam Crowley.
Fans reacted to the tweet on social media.
“Read ur own post…crapshoot take. As always Team needs to get younger not give up draft capital for rentals,” 0ne fan wrote on Twitter.
“That division is going to shrink. They got the tough part of their schedule and ravens got their easiest. Lamar is back… watch the annual season collapse happen soon,” another fan added.
“What did you want them to do? They aren’t 1 player away. Over paying for a WR Tomlin wouldn’t utilize anyways, made zero sense,” someone else added.
It’ll be interesting to see if the Steelers end up regretting not being aggressive.
