Even before Sunday night’s game, Buffalo Bills star receiver Stefon Diggs and Green Bay Packers star corner Jaire Alexander could be seen talking trash to each other as the teams ran out of the tunnel to take the field for pregame festivities. While only one of them got the win on the scoreboard, both think they backed up their trash talk on the field.

The Bills ultimately won the game by a score of 27-17. For that reason, Stefon Diggs claims he backed up any pregame trash talk, saying “I finished it. I got the win.”

“I don’t give a f— who started it, I finished it. I got the win,” Diggs said after the game, according to ESPN. “I don’t deal with moral victories. I don’t deal with one-on-one battles because it’s not a one-on-one game. … It’s a team effort, and I got a dub. I feel like at the end of the day there are no moral victories.”

Diggs had a strong individual performance, as well, hauling in six catches for 108 yards and a touchdown.

But despite Diggs’ strong numbers, Alexander had a different impression of how the game went, saying “I finished it,” referring to the pregame trash talk. Because even though Diggs was effective, he didn’t catch a single pass when Alexander was defending him.

While the Bills and the Packers don’t meet often with the Bills in the AFC and the Packers in the NFC, this rivalry between Diggs and Alexander certainly could get interesting in the future.
