The Baltimore Ravens have a multiple-time MVP at the quarterback in Lamar Jackson. However, Jackson and the Ravens have yet to advance past the AFC Championship.
Last season, the Ravens failed to even make it that far, falling to the Buffalo Bills in the AFC divisional round. Now, Ravens owner Steve Bisciotti is making it clear to Jackson and the rest of the organization exactly what his expectations are moving forward.
“I want to win now,” Bisciotti said, according to the team’s official website. “I want to win with these guys.
“We’ve got a window with Lamar,” Bisciotti said. “I know what we can do. I know that we worked to put ourselves in position to win. We all get credit for that. That’s all you can do.
“I hate it that every year, you just have to start back over again. But you know what? This is not for the meek.”
Fans reacted to Bisciotti’s message on social media.
“I’d literally talk to your GM then. He’s been the most gun shy during Lamar’s tenure. He failed at both trade deadlines the last two years,” one fan wrote on Twitter.
“If the SB were held in December then LJ8 would probably have 3 C’hips by now. January is his Kryptonite. So I can’t see it happening anytime soon,” one fan added.
“Lamar is 3-5 in the postseason, so good luck with that But they won a Super Bowl with Dilfer, so anything’s possible,” someone else added.
It’ll be interesting to see how Jackson responds to the public call out.
