It’s been about a year since Taylor Swift announced the release of her latest album The Tortured Poets Department. But in a shocking twist, her boyfriend has just confirmed that some new music is on the way – and it sounds like some of those sounds will be about him.
During a recent appearance on The Pat McAfee Show, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce was asked about the possibility of new music from his superstar girlfriend, and if any of those new songs could be about their blossoming relationship.
While Kelce did not divulge too many details, he did confirm that there are new songs in the works – and they certainly could be about their romance.
“There might be a few,” he replied with a smile.
When pressed on whether he had already heard any of her upcoming tracks, Kelce kept things playful but tight-lipped.
“You know I can’t say any of that. You know I can’t say that,” he said, grinning.
Still, he couldn’t resist confirming that he had indeed heard some of her new music.
“I hear music everywhere,” he shared on the show.
Kelce was then asked if he contributed to her creative process. While he clarified that he doesn’t offer any suggestions or help directly, he is always supportive.
“I’ll never chime in, but you already know I’m here to support it,” Kelce added.
Taylor Swift has kept a relatively low profile since wrapping up her iconic Eras Tour, but it seems she’ll be back in the spotlight this week to cheer on Kelce.
When asked if Swift would be attending the Chiefs’ divisional-round matchup against the Houston Texans, Kelce gave a confident confirmation.
“Oh yeah, you know it, baby. It’s playoff football, baby,” he said.
So, fans can expect to see Taylor in the stands this weekend as they eagerly await the new music that Kelce described.
