Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce famously tied the knot with a high-profile wedding at New York City’s Madison Square Garden over the summer. Now, Kelce is back to football as he prepares for what could be his final season with the Kansas City Chiefs. However, it sounds like Taylor isn’t necessarily happy with how much time that takes up.
According to a recent report, Taylor is “frustrated” with how little time they have been getting to see each other as he has been in the midst of preseason camp.
Taylor Swift is ‘Frustrated’
According to a report from the Daily Mail this week, Taylor Swift is not happy with just how much time Kelce is spending preparing for the upcoming season.
“She is frustrated because football is taking up so much of his time – he works overtime – causing them to not see each other a ton, and she would like more,” an insider told the Daily Mail.
“Travis being in training camp has meant she has had to go out alone. They do not see each other every single day, but they see each other every single week – they are very dedicated to that.”
Kelce and the Chiefs are looking to bounce back this season after missing the playoffs entirely last season. That, coupled with the fact that Kelce is now 36 years old and does not have the same athletic ability that he used to, likely has him putting in some extra work to prepare for the season.
Staying Connected
While the separation might be frustrating, the reality is that it’s nothing that the couple hasn’t dealt with before. During the 2024 NFL season, Swift was overseas for the international legs of her Eras Tour while Kelce was in the middle of an NFL football season.
So even though the situation isn’t ideal for the newlyweds, it sounds like they’re making it work.
“They talk on the phone all the time, and text, FaceTime, all of it. He sends her flowers too when she is out of town, her favorites like roses and orchids,” the insider told the Daily Mail.
“They just deal with it. They know they both have massive careers, and they love what they do, so they give each other freedom.”
We’ll have to see how Kelce and the Chiefs perform this year and whether or not Swift will be in attendance when they open the season against the Broncos on Monday, Sept. 14.
