Taysom Hill has sparked a lot of conversations around the New Orleans Saints over his 2017-present career with them. And many of those conversations have focused on what position he plays. Those further intensified Sunday, and Hill had a funny response there.

Hill is currently listed as a tight end on the Saints’ official roster, but he was primarily a quarterback in college with the BYU Cougars (from 2012-16). And his time with the Saints has seen him line up at quarterback, running back, wide receiver, and tight end. That’s led to some media comparing him to a Swiss Army knife, and to debates about his appropriate position and value in fantasy football.

On Sunday, Hill was involved in four touchdowns in the Saints‘ 39-32 home win against the Seattle Seahawks. He rushed for three touchdowns (on eight-, nine-, and 60-yard runs, respectively, part of his 122 rushing yards on just nine attempts) and threw for one (a 22-yard strike to tight end Adam Trautman, which Hill is seen celebrating above). And that was just a small part of his overall efforts:

Hill also made some history with the diversity of his contributions:

But, funnily enough, after all that, Hill responded to a question about his position with “I just work here.” Here’s more on that from John Sigler at USA Today’s Saints Wire:

Taysom Hill is a team player. He’ll score three touchdowns as a runner and another as a passer and then block a defender out of the way so Alvin Kamara can run for a first down in the game’s final minutes. Call him a tight end, a quarterback, a running back, whatever you like — he’s just here to help the New Orleans Saints win football games.

“I just work here,” Hill joked with local media when asked whether he should be designated as a running back after gaining a career-high 112 yards on the ground. He added a 22-yard touchdown pass to tight end Adam Trautman on the afternoon.

The “just work here” may work for Hill at the moment. But he certainly worked out well Sunday for the people who have him rostered as a fantasy football tight end.
