The Cincinnati Bengals had a scary moment during Monday’s practice when star wide receiver Tee Higgins suffered an apparent injury after safety Nick Scott while going up to try to catch a pass.
Following the brutal hit, Tee Higgins received some brief medical attention and did not return to the field the rest of the day. This is in addition to Higgins missing team drills in a few practices and not participating in 11-on-11 drills in last week’s joint practices with the Green Bay Packers.
But despite all of that, Higgins insists he’s fine and that his absence during practice periods was just precautionary.
“Just precaution . . . just out there talking to [wide receivers coach Troy Walters] going back and forth with him being able to take some team reps off and do individual but actually getting back in there doing everything with the guys feels good,” Higgins said on Monday according to Kelsey Conway of the Cincinnati Enquirer.
Obviously, the Bengals will want him healthy by the start of the season and available to play throughout the year as he along with teammates Ja’Marr Chase and Tyler Boyd form arguably the top wide receiver group in the entire NFL.
