The Cincinnati Bengals are in a somewhat difficult situation with several of their young stars like quarterback Joe Burrow and wide receivers Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins all needing second contracts near the same time. But even though Burrow’s contract is undoubtedly the highest priority out of all of the players, he made it clear that he’ll consider his teammates when working out a contract extension.

Earlier this week, Joe Burrow said in a press conference that upcoming contracts for his teammates will be “a focal point” in his own contract negotiations. And those comments meant a lot to Tee Higgins.

“Means a lot having a leader like him looking out for guys like us,” Higgins said according to Paul Dehner of The Athletic. “Obviously we talk about staying together for the long run. Hopefully, we can do that and get something negotiated to where they can keep all three of us.”

Higgins and Chase have emerged as one of the most dominant wide receiver combinations in the NFL while Burrow has quickly emerged as one of the league’s top quarterbacks. Cincinnati would undoubtedly like to keep all three of them together for the foreseeable future as they continue to push for the franchise’s first Super Bowl victory.
