It looks like not only will Tennessee Titans rookie quarterback Will Levis be making his NFL debut on Sunday, but he’ll also get the start and play the majority of the snaps.
According to a report from league insider Ian Rapoport, Levis is expected to be the “primary signal-caller” for the Tennessee Titans during their game against the Atlanta Falcons this week.
“My understanding is the Tennessee Titans are preparing to start Will Levis in this Sunday’s game against the Atlanta Falcons,” Rapoport said on The NFL Network on Wednesday. “The second-round pick is expected to make his NFL debut, and when he does – based on the sources I’ve talked with – he should be the primary signal-caller.”

“Now Mike Vrabel, the head coach, said that with Ryan Tannehill likely out, dealing with a high ankle sprain, both Malik Willis and Will Levis should play on Sunday. I have no doubt about that, but my understanding is that Levis should be the primary signal caller,” Rapoport continued. “I know a lot of interest in Levis, a lot of people thought he was going to be a first-rounder. Very talented passer from Kentucky – should get a lot of him this Sunday against the Falcons.”
It’s a pretty major announcement, and the NFL world had a lot to say about it on social media.

This is the right decision for the #Titans (and one that we’ve been predicting on @FWordsPod since training camp). Finding out what you have in Levis is the most important objective for this franchise moving forward in 2023, for better or worse. https://t.co/IyBnok60xH

Glad the #Titans are doing the incredibly obvious thing. Stoked to see what Will has to offer. https://t.co/f2YzuAsjD4

Logical for at least a couple reasons:
–Levis is the team's more recent pick, drafted by the new GM.
–Willis hasn't looked like a future starter in the opportunities he's received. https://t.co/NkcrM29CPn— John Glennon (@glennonsports) October 25, 2023

We are officially in the new Titans era. It’s gonna be a rough couple years to get this roster properly built but at least there’s finally some sense of direction for the franchise https://t.co/lXn8rUJeer

We’ll have to see how Levis performs.
