Aaron Rodgers has been heavily linked to the Pittsburgh Steelers throughout the offseason. However, the future first-ballot Hall-of-Famer remains unsigned and is allegedly still considering retirement.
Now, news has come to light that at least one Steelers legend hopes that Rodgers ends up not signing with the Steelers, and he isn’t mincing his words about it either, according to Pro Football Talk.
“Steelers legend Terry Bradshaw calls the team’s interest in Aaron Rodgers ‘a joke.’ Said Bradshaw: ‘That guy needs to stay in California. Go somewhere and chew on bark and whisper to the gods out there,’” the outlet reported.
Fans reacted to Bradshaw’s take on social media.
“People get triggered because it’s true. Time to move on all this dumb (stuff). Distracting. If this is preseason imagine him on the [expletive] team. ‘Hey everyone look at me!'” one fan wrote on Twitter.
“Bradshaw has always been a Rodgers hater. Go take another booster shot,” another fan added.
“Tomlin: At this time – and I checked this in the building – Terry Bradshaw while an all time legend does not speak for this building organization locker room or showers. That is all at this time,” added someone else.
It’ll be interesting to see what Rodgers decides to do.
