The Houston Texans are looking to get their season turned around and get franchise quarterback C.J. Stroud back to the level of play that earned him Offensive Rookie of the Year after an electric 2023 campaign.
Unfortunately, Stroud and the Texans have struggled this season, and Monday night’s loss to the Seattle Seahawks dropped Houston to 2-4 on the season. Stroud is struggling this season behind a shaky offensive line, and Monday’s loss came with an injury that will make things even harder for the young quarterback this season.
“Houston Texans wideout Nico Collins suffered a concussion during a 27-19 loss Monday to the Seattle Seahawks, according to coach DeMeco Ryans,” reported ESPN’s DJ Bien-Aime.
Fans reacted to Stroud losing his top target on social media.
“Concussions are no joke, but Houston keeps stacking them like trophies. Someone tell the Texans that helmets exist for a reason,” one fan wrote on Twitter.
“I’m a Colts fan, so…not a Texans fan. But I hope Nico gets well soon. He’s an incredible player,” another fan added.
“Big setback for the Texans, Nico Collins has been one of their most consistent targets this season,” one fan added.
It’ll be interesting to see if Stroud and the Texans manage to get things turned around this season.
