Offensive tackle Isaiah Wilson was the Tennessee Titans’ first round draft pick last year. That time with the Titans appeared to be short lived after Wilson tweeted (and deleted) a post from a couple weeks ago that he was “done with football as a Titan.”

Now it appears Wilson really is done with the Titans as the NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport revealed that Wilson was traded to the Miami Dolphins along with a swap of seventh round draft picks.

It depends on the team and the situation on what to do with an unhappy player that makes their unhappiness publicly known. Some teams keep the player so as to not reward a player going public and hopefully prevent another player from doing the same thing to get their way. Some teams get rid of the player if they’re truly unhappy in order to give them what they want and make them happy or to prevent a potential toxic situation within the team.

For Wilson, it was probably for the best the two sides went their separate ways. In his first season, Wilson considered jumping off a second-story balcony while at a party broken up by police at Tennessee State, was arrested for DUI and was suspended for violating club rules while being placed on the reserve/non-football illness list.

After only playing four snaps, it probably makes sense for the Titans to cut their losses and move on and for Wilson to get a fresh start somewhere else. Hopefully the Dolphins will provide that.
