In order to make the playoffs, the Pittsburgh Steelers will need help in the form of other teams losing this weekend. But Steelers linebacker T.J. Watt wants the team to just focus on what they can control – winning this week’s game against the Baltimore Ravens.
T.J. Watt doesn’t think the team needs to be worrying about playoff scenarios heading into this game. They should just worry about winning this week’s game.
“I think the biggest message this week is to just focus on us in this game,” Watt said according to the Pittsburgh Steelers team website. “We’ve been in the situation so many times where you can’t afford to look at, we need this to happen, we need that to happen. At the end of the day, if we don’t take care of our business, I know it sounds so cliche, but it really doesn’t matter. We just need to make sure that everybody in this locker room understands the importance of this game and takes care of our business first and foremost.”
If the Steelers beat the Ravens, a loss from either the Buffalo Bills or the Jacksonville Jaguars would put them in the playoffs. We’ll have to see what happens.
