With Tom Brady playing as well as he is at 39 years old, it seems like the sky is the limit when it comes to breaking NFL quarterback records.

Brady broke one of those records Sunday.

Along with defeating the Los Angeles Rams 26-10 and improving to 10-2, Brady passed Peyton Manning as the league’s winningest quarterback with 201 career wins, including both the regular season and the postseason.

With Brady’s success, it’s hard to remember how long Brady has been around. It seems like the time has just flown by. Here’s what the Michigan alum had to say about the record-setting win (via Yahoo Sports).

“You know, I’m just grateful for all my teammates and my coaches, and my family and friends,” Brady said. “It’s been a lot of football over the years, so… It’s always been about winning and you know, I’ve been very fortunate to be on great teams. I’m actually very grateful.”

Looking back at Brady’s career thus far, it’s amazing that he’s won as much as he has with so many different guys. But despite the Patriots’ constant roster turnover, teammates appreciate their quarterback’s greatness.

Safety and team co-captain Devin McCourty, who has been Brady’s teammate since 2010, said, “I’ve learned so much from him as a leader, and not always just from talking to him but just getting the opportunity to watch him, whether in captains’ meetings, his daily routine, on the field, off the field.

“I think at times you don’t really know the true worth of being around a guy like that and I think you see the bigger picture when you see a record like this – 201 wins, most ever by a quarterback, it really forces you to step back and really realize what the guy’s done in the NFL and I’m happy to be part of it.”

This might be one of the biggest accomplishments of Brady’s career. Yet, it will likely be forgotten by the time New England steps on the field next week. All that seems to matter for Brady are Super Bowl rings, which he has plenty of.
