Tom Brady led the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to victory on Sunday in Munch, Germany, though not without some “embarrassment,” becoming the first NFL quarterback to win games in four different countries (United States, England, Mexico, and now Germany).
Could Canada be next on his world domination tour? The NFL legend didn’t exactly close the door on the possibility of eventually playing in the CFL during his podcast this week.
“I think it’s pretty cool. I’ve been around long enough to see these international games take place, it’s like I’m the EPCOT center of quarterbacks. It was really fun to be a part of it,” Brady said on Let’s Go! “I think the fact that I’m undefeated outside the U.S., I’m hoping I can get to go play in the CFL at some point and really see what I can make of myself up there because things have gone pretty well outside the country.”
While it’s pretty unlikely that Brady would actually consider a move across the border when his NFL days are done, there is the fact that he considers CFL and NFL legend Doug Flutie a hero and friend.
“He’s a former teammate and hero of mine,” Brady said. “He’s always said great things [about the CFL.]”
Hey, you never know what’s next for the 45-year-old, especially considering how Brady’s offseason went and how this season is currently going.
