Hurricane Milton made landfall in the Tampa Bay area on Thursday night, and it sounds like former Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady is stepping up to help.

This week, Tom Brady announced that he would be donating $100,000 to hurricane relief efforts.

“In the wake of Hurricane Milton, I’ll be making a donation of $100k to help get essentials like food, water and first aid to fellow Floridians in need,” Brady wrote on social media.

Brady shared that the company gopuff, a digital delivery service, has agreed to match his and other donations.

“My friends at gopuff are matching this, along with all other donations made via ‘Give With Gopuff’, all benefiting the Volunteer Florida Foundation,” Brady said in his post.

“Keep those impacted by these storms in your prayers, look out for your neighbors, and continue to help out anyway you’re able. Stay safe, and stay strong Florida.”

Needles to say, this is an insanely generous donation from Brady, and it led to a lot of reactions on social media.

“Tom Brady’s generous donation of $100K to Hurricane Milton victims is commendable. His support for Florida is a reminder of the importance of community in tough times,” one fan wrote on X.

“That’s awesome,” another fan said.

“Thank you Tom!” another fan commented.

“Good job Tom!” another fan responded.

“Tom is my hero,” another fan added.

It’s certainly a helpful gesture from Brady.
