It’s been a while since Tom Brady has thrown a football competitively. Since his retirement from the NFL, the seven-time Super Bowl champion has remained around the sport, just not as an active participant on the field.
Brady is an NFL analyst for FOX and is also a member of the Las Vegas Raiders ownership group. However, it appears that Brady has had enough of watching the games from the sidelines and is ready to compete again, albeit in a different capacity than his NFL days.
“Tom Brady is coming out of retirement, sort of, to join Saquon Barkley, Christian McCaffrey, CeeDee Lamb, Maxx Crosby, Rob Gronkowski, Sauce Gardner Myles Garrett and others for the Fanatics Flag Football Classic – a competitive flag football tournament taking place during Riyadh Season in Saudi Arabia on March 21, 2026. It will be Brady’s first football action since retiring three years ago. Pete Carroll, Sean Payton and Kyle Shanahan will be coaching the three teams,” Adam Schefter of ESPN reported on Monday.
Fans reacted to the news on social media.
“Wow. That’s impressive. He remains an OG in the game. Top Football Icon,” one fan wrote on Twitter.
“Tom Brady back in action… even if it’s flag football, the GOAT never truly retires,” another fan added.
“Tom Brady, back on the field with that kind of talent? This is going to be must-watch TV,” someome else added.
It’ll be interesting to see if Brady can turn back the clock.
