It’s hard to expect any information out of Super Bowl media days that’s worthwhile. Usually, it’s just people getting in who dress like complete idiots or Marshawn Lynch repeating himself.

However, we actually got a nice answer from Tom Brady on Monday. Brady’s father has made headlines recently for his blunt comments about Roger Goodell. While the younger Brady has tried to downplay this story and cut his father off from the press, the Patriots’ quarterback was asked about it once again Monday. His response is great:

If you just hear the words, he basically says nothing. However, his emotions do all of the talking. While I’m not a father myself, I can see that connection that Brady and his father has. It’s definitely inspiring.

With New England in full-on win-the-Super-Bowl mode, it was hard to imagine us seeing the less-serious side of Brady. However, we did get this nice moment. And I’m glad we did.
