Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are 2-1 despite Sunday’s loss to Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers. However, things are not going as well for the six-time Super Bowl champion off the field.

Brady and his wife, supermodel Gisele Bündchen, are reportedly living separately. (Bündchen did not attend Sunday’s loss to the Packers.)

Last week, Bündchen was spotted in New York City crying on her phone, reportedly over her marital rift with Brady. She had previously delivered an ultimatum to Brady, saying this would be his last football season “if he wanted to stay married.”

Brady, for his part, vacationed with his ex-girlfriend Bridget Moynahan (around the birthday of their son) since news of the differences broke.

However, Page Six reports that the turmoil has nothing to do with Brady’s occupation. “A source close to the couple” told the magazine that “the problems are not due to his decision to play football again —sometimes things are complicated.” The source added that speculation otherwise is “sexist” since it blames the supermodel for the marital problems. Page Six noted the source did not elaborate further.

We’ll next see Brady and the Buccaneers in action this Sunday when they host their former Super Bowl LV opponents, the Kanas City Chiefs and quarterback Patrick Mahomes.
