New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady sent a video message to Leicester City goalie Kasper Schmeichel as they prepare for their showdown with Tottenham.

Leicester City was a massive underdog pick this season and have shocked everyone by getting in position to finish as Premier League champions.

Kaspel Schmeichel is Leicester’s goalie, as well as a Patriots fan, apparently. Brady forgot to send a video to Tottenham’s Harry Kane, who is a huge Pats fan, but, hey, they’re not the trendy team to back.

Of course, maybe Tom should have done a little bit more research because it looks like his rooting interests may not be entirely reciprocated.

The Carolina Panthers and Leicester City developed a working “friendship” right before Super Bowl 50 and that’s Schmeichel wearing a Cam Newton jersey. Sorry, Tom.

And so, if you’re rooting for Leicester to complete the amazing run, know that you’re also rooting for Tom Brady in a weird way now. Sorry about that.
