Tom Brady and his wife Gisele Bündchen were reportedly at odds with the star quarterback’s decision not to retire during the offseason resulting in marriage problems between the couple. A compromise appeared to be in place to potentially save both his career and marriage, giving Brady every Wednesday off from practice this season. However, in an unexpected turn of events, Brady was at Tampa Bay Buccaneers practice this Wednesday.

According to league insider Ian Rapoport of NFL.com, Brady did participate in Tampa Bay’s practice on Wednesday, but the decision was made after plenty of conversation and communication with the team about Brady’s health and the veteran quarterback is likely to continue to take Wednesdays off throughout the season.

“He felt good enough health-wise that he wasn’t necessarily needing a big day off today,” Rapoport said. “I would expect throughout the season, plenty of Wednesdays – maybe even every Wednesday – would be off. But today, considering that Brady has some new weapons including Cole Beasley that he’s gotta get familiar with and it would help to practice, made the decision that Brady would practice today.”

The 45-year-old is dealing with some lingering pain in his body (and something strange happening with his face) and he’s already got a hand injury, but apparently, he feels fine enough to practice. For the sake of his marriage, hopefully, his wife was on board with the decision.
