This year has been a rough one for Tom Brady.

First, he retired from the NFL and then later unretired. Second, his 13-year marriage ended rather publicly. Third, it’s a real possibility that his Tampa Bay Buccanneers may not make the playoffs. Even if they do, they may have to face a Wild Card team with a better record.

With all of that going on, many NFL insiders say they think this could be it for Brady and that he might actually retire for good this time. That speculation comes from The Athletic’s Mike Jones, who shared that “most NFL insiders believe he will likely retire, but because Brady has not announced his intentions, they do acknowledge that anything remains possible.”

As for Brady, he hasn’t officially said anything yet but he will become a free agent at the end of the year. Perhaps he’s waiting until then to decide what to do.

There were reports a few weeks ago that he might be interested in joining the San Francisco 49ers for one last run but San Francisco currently has three capable quarterbacks, two of which are young are offer a lot of potentials.

Some have also said he may join the Las Vegas Raiders, who may be ready to move on from current QB Derek Carr.

Brady’s father Tom Sr. recently said he was afraid that his son wouldn’t know how to walk away from the game. Sounds like we’ll find out soon enough what’s next, or not next, for the aging quarterback.
