Legendary quarterback Tom Brady may have officially ended his NFL career as a member of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers where he won his final Super Bowl title, but he created most of his legacy as a member of the New England Patriots. And as a result, it looks like the Patriots will be honoring him for all of his accomplishments this upcoming season.

On Thursday morning, New England Patriots team owner Robert Kraft announced that the team will be inviting Tom Brady back to New England during the team’s home opener to properly honor him after his retirement.

“Per Robert Kraft on @gmfb just now: The #Patriots will welcome Tom Brady back to Foxboro for their opener to honor him for his time in New England,” league insider Mike Garafolo said in a tweet on Thursday morning.

It’s a big move from the Patriots given how much Brady meant to the team over his 20 years in New England, and the NFL world had plenty to say about the news on Twitter.

The move makes sense after everything Brady accomplished during his time with the New England Patriots and he will undoubtedly be well-received by the fans in attendance.
