A day after it sounded like New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning yelled out “Trump!” during the Giants’ game against the Los Angeles Rams, New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady didn’t back away from the fact his team uses the names of presidential nominees to call audibles.
During his weekly radio appearance on Boston radio, Brady admitted two of the Patriots’ audible calls are “Trump” and “Clinton.” This comes after Brady has shown he has a weird relationship with Trump.
Brady has been seen with a “Make America Great Again” hat in his locker but later avoided reporters when asked about Trump’s lewd comments to Billy Bush.
As we have seen, it’s not uncommon for football teams to make cultural references in their gameplans. Peyton Manning was known for using Omaha, and we might have heard a Ray Rice reference this past Sunday.
rewatching SF-TB. no audio yesterday (at a bar). sure sounds like SF's snap cadence is "RAY RICE. go." pls tell me i'm hearing it wrong.

With audio pickup getting better and better on broadcasts, it seems like it only will be a matter of time before a team will be caught saying something that will cause some big-time apologies.
