The Tampa Bay Buccaneers didn’t have the best performance on Sunday afternoon in a game where Tom Brady was not at his best during the loss, particularly in the red zone. The performance led many to wonder if he was fully prepared for the game after missing the team’s walkthrough to attend the wedding of New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft in New York on Friday night.

On Monday, Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Todd Bowles was asked about Brady’s absence from the team’s walkthrough as well as the perceived special treatment that Brady appears to get from the team considering his other mysterious absence during the team’s preseason camp. Bowles downplayed the idea that Brady receives any special treatment from the team.

“He works as hard as anybody,” Bowles said, according to Fox News. “Special treatment – there’s been a few guys that have missed some meetings and some practices for some special things that just doesn’t get publicized because they’re not him. It kind of comes with the territory. You don’t worry about it too much.”

Special treatment or not, Brady is obviously not completely focused on football this season as he goes through a very public divorce and deals with all sorts of rumors and speculation swirling about the source of his marital issues.
