There were plenty of rumors coming out of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers training camp in 2022 regarding Tom Brady and what was happening with him.
At one point, Brady left camp to spend time with his family, but the secrecy around the situation led to a lot of strange speculation.
That drama and speculation followed Tampa Bay and Brady throughout the season, which ended up being the quarterback’s last in the NFL.
Logan Ryan, who played with Brady in New England and Tampa, talked about what was going on during a recent appearance on The Herd with Colin Cowherd.
“I think just knowing how he was interacting with his family, his kids, in terms of really wanting to spend time with his kids and be there with his kids, that was a little different,” Ryan said, via JoeBucsFan.com. “Because his kids were older. I think the stuff that was going on off the field and on the field I think was weighing on him a little bit, as obviously, we’re all humans. So I knew that there was going to be some type of break after the season.”
There’s still speculation that Brady might return to the NFL field, though Ryan said “He wouldn’t tell me” when asked about the possibility.
