Last week, it was revealed that there is at least some doubt that Jimmy Garoppolo will be able to play for the Las Vegas Raiders next season. And if he is unable to start for the team to begin the 2023 NFL season, a pretty surprising name has the best odds to start in his place.

This week, Sportsbetting.ag released odds for the Raiders’ Week 1 starting quarterback if it’s not Jimmy Garoppolo. And surprisingly, Tom Brady has the best odds at 2-1 despite his retirement from the NFL this offseason.

“#Raiders Week 1 starting QB odds if not Jimmy G per @SportsBettingAG:
Tom Brady 2-1
Brian Hoyer 5-2
Matt Ryan 3-1
Nick Foles 6-1
Aidan O’Connell 7-1
Carson Wentz 7-1
Andy Dalton 10-1
Bridgewater 12-1
Brissett 14-1
Flacco 20-1
Cam Newton 33-1
Luck 50-1
Kaepernick 100-1,” Josh Dubow of the Associated Press said in a tweet.

Of course, Brady is set to join the Raiders organization as a minority team owner, pending approval from the other owners throughout the NFL, which would make it more difficult for him to return to the league as a player – but not impossible. And with these odds, it sounds like SportsBetting.ag thinks it’s a real possibility he returns, and the NFL world had plenty to say about it.

It will certainly be interesting to see if a return is in the cards for Brady in the future.
