Tom Brady’s suspension is old news, but we now might have insight on how the Patriots quarterback plans to spend his four weeks away from the team.

Former New England running back, and Brady teammate, Kevin Faulk hopped on “NESN Sports Today” Monday morning to offer his theory on how Brady would try to stay game-ready in spite of his suspension preventing him from any contact with Patriots facilities or employees. As a part of his training regimen, Faulk said he expects Brady to call upon the ghosts of Patriots seasons past for help.

“He’s definitely going to work,” Faulk said. “There’s no doubt in my mind. He’s probably going to do the same regimen he’s been doing for the last how many years he’s been playing football, stay in that routine, and yes, I’m almost positive Wes Welker is going to be here. He probably will reach out to Randy (Moss), and Randy will come because Randy’s in still good shape. Real good shape.”

Welker played for the Patriots from 2007-13 and Moss was on the team from 2007-2010, and both enjoyed the best seasons of their careers while in New England. Still, Faulk’s prognostication might be too good to be true. I’m sure Moss and Welker would be more than happy to help their former quarterback out, but both have careers of their own to think about.

Welker, 35, is still floating around the NFL and was spotted at Dolphins camp Monday morning. ESPN reported he was brought on as a mentor to Miami’s receivers.

Meanwhile, Moss was brought on by ESPN as an NFL analyst last month and appears to be in store for a pretty packed work schedule.

He will serve as an analyst on Sunday NFL Countdown and Monday Night Countdown from the site of each week’s Monday Night Football game. He will also contribute to ESPN’s annual Super Bowl week coverage.

Welker, Moss, and other former Patriots might still find the time to work out with Brady, but he might want to look at some back-up options just in case.
