It’s hard to remember a draft prospect as polarizing as reigning Heisman Trophy winner Travis Hunter. Hunter won college football’s highest individual achievement by not only being arguably the best wide receiver in the nation but also by having an argument as the game’s best cornerback.

Many are wondering if Hunter will be able to be successful as a two-way player in the NFL, with the league being much more physical than anything Hunter has experienced to this point.

However, according to Hunter himself, whichever team drafts him had better be prepared for him to play both sides of the ball, or else they’ll be risking not getting to see him play at all.

Travis Hunter says he won’t play football at all if an NFL team tries to limit him to just one side of the ball. Hunter told (Garrett Podell) that no team has expressed any issues with him playing both CB and WR in the NFL,” Ari Meirov reported on Tuesday.

Fans reacted to Hunter’s claim on social media.

“All I ever hear about this guy is all the stuff he won’t do,” one fan wrote on Twitter.

“Simply don’t understand the need to prove he can do both. If he is half as good as he thinks he is he’ll dominate enough on one side of the ball that he won’t need to cook himself on the other,” another person wrote.

“I mean him playing both sides of the ball is what made him a top 5 pick in this draft so I mean he has a point,” added one fan.

It’ll be interesting to see what NFL teams think of Hunter’s proclamation.
