Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence has a strong preference for which side of the ball his new teammate, rookie two-way player Travis Hunter, spends most of the upcoming season playing on.

“He’s so talented, it’s hard to keep him off the field,” Lawrence said. “Selfishly, I definitely want him on offense more. And I told him, ‘Do you want to catch touchdowns or do you want to maybe break up a pass or two?

“That’s a decision you have to make. He’ll make plays wherever he is, but obviously, as a quarterback, I hope he plays more on offense. Wherever he plays to make us better, because he will make us better, I’m all for wherever that is.”

Hunter responded that he doesn’t find playing both sides of the ball all too difficult.

“It’s not hard at all, if I’m being honest,” Hunter said. “The first off day that we had, and I came back and did both sides, that’s the only thing that got to me. After that, I’ve been good.”

Unfortunately, Hunter is sidelined at the moment and won’t be playing at all for the time being.

“Jaguars receiver/cornerback Travis Hunter is dealing with what coach Liam Coen called an upper-body injury and may not play in Sunday’s preseason game at New Orleans,” ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported on Friday.

Fan reacted to teh news on social media.

“the problem with this, is when he is hurt, you lose two players,” one fan wrote on Twitter.

“Bro played barely any snaps on both sides of the ball ONCE and is already hurt lmao,” another fan added.

“Playing both sides of the ball at the highest level and he didn’t even make it through training camp,” one fan wrote.

Hopefully, Hunter will be ready for the regular season.
